Linseed Oil Cake
It is a product of linseed processing during production of linseed oil and it is a valuable, high-caloric, concentrated feed for farm animals.
Linseed oil cake has a high energy value: 1 kg of oil cake contains 400 g of protein, that is 3 times more that wheat. Protein of linseed oil cake is characterized by high absorption qualities and good amino acids composition.
Among all vegetables products linseeds have now established a record of high performance in content and quality of lignans, vitamins B1, B2, B6, niacin, pantothenic acid, folic acid, biotin, tocopherols (vitamin E), a number of macro- and microelements. Linseeds are rich in potassium, phosphorus, magnesium.
The content of unsaturated fatty acids in linseeds is 3 times more than in fish oil. Linseed oil cake is used for feeding farm animals. It can be used dry or wetted and in a mixture of other forages or as an ingredient in fodders.
